The main construction site is situated, for the most part, on the existing track-bed. The new railroad design aimed to keep the existing position of the track with regard to line-side structures, cramped site conditions, and great numbers of related facilities. In addition to the overhead contact line reconstruction, we reconstructed the 3 kV traction substation and 25 kV supply substation in the ‘Benešov u Prahy’ railway station, and further heavy-current installations. This reconstruction has several special features, for example, anchoring the traction supports to the bridge structure vaulting over the ‘Sázava’ River; change in the arrangement of lines in the ‘Senohraby’ railway station, where the original four-track configuration was reduced to three tracks; the ‘Èerèany’ railway station in a bend with a curved line requiring a substantially shorter closure rail, tensioning of catenary and trolley lines in the curve on the railway bridge over the D1 motorway, where the free span is 85 m.
