Railway OCS

Overhead Contact Line for Railway – 25 kV AC, 3 kV DC, 1,5 kV DC

  • Contact line system for main tracks up to the speed of 200 km/h (for main lines with higher speeds) – vertical catenary, fully tensioned with auxiliary wire
  • Contact line system for side tracks up to the speed of 120 km/h (for sidings with lower speeds) – vertical catenary, fully tensioned
  • Simple contact line system up to the speed of 90 km/h (for sidings with low traffic, railway station sidings, stabling, loading and private sidings) – tensioned, at straight sections and curves with a large radius equipped with suspension wire
  • Inclined contact line system up to the speed of 100 km/h (for sidings with complicated directional conditions) – catenary line, fully tensioned, possible combination with vertical catenary line at straight sections

The contact line is suspended on individual or group supports (portals, cross-spans). Steel masts and constructions are metallized or treated by a protective coat. Depending on energetic calculations it is possible to supplement all contact lines with reinforcing feeder (DC systems), or with return conductor (AC systems) suspended on OCS supports.
